When ‘Cooks Boutique’, a cookery and kitchenware shop in Letchworth, used the latest lockdown as an opportunity to have a clear out, they found themselves with more than just a couple of boxes of rubbish. The spring clean had left them with a sizeable pile of waste including unwanted items, packaging boxes and general rubbish. The pile was turning into a mound and it was cluttering up the outside parking area of their store, leaving little room for their car. Something had to be done.
Get it gone
As director of the family run cookware retailer, Punit Shah decided to use a professional clearance service but, well aware of the spate of recent reports of bogus rubbish collection services and the resulting problem of fly tipping, Punit was keen to find a highly reputable provider that would not only collect and dispose of the waste compliantly, but would also recycle it. Cawleys offered the perfect solution.
As another family-run business with a great reputation and longevity in the local area, Punit discovered that Cawleys had recently launched its ‘Van-ish’ clearance service so decided to give it a shot.
A fabulous service
Booking was quick and easy and Punit secured a suitable date for collection. The waste was collected and cleared on schedule with social distance measures and a friendly smile from the Cawleys’ operative. It was then transported back to the Luton depot where it was sorted and segregated into different waste streams for onward recycling.
Commenting on the service, Punit Shah Director of Cooks Boutique said: “I’m delighted with the Van-ish service provided by Cawleys. The price was very reasonable and they left the space clear and clean. What’s more, it’s great to use the services of fellow family-run business and to know that all the waste I had thrown out will be recycled and put to good use. I would recommend the Van-ish service to anyone – my junk and rubbish simply vanished!”
