Step it Up this RECYCLE WEEK 2021

Hurrah, it's RECYCLE WEEK, the week in which we all shine a spotlight on the importance of doing the right thing and recycling as much waste as possible. Recycling is the easiest way to combat climate change and all it takes is a little commitment from all of us.

This years' theme is 'Step it Up' and WRAP are encouraging all of us to do more, and that includes businesses and organisations, as well as individuals.

If you need a little convincing that recycling really makes a difference then take a look at some of the stats below:

We save 18 million tonnes of CO2 a year by recycling, the same environmental impact as:

Taking 12 million cars off the road or 27 million of us going veggie

Using recycled materials rather than making items from scratch also makes a real difference. For example, making 20 aerosols from recycled materials uses the same energy as making one from scratch!
