Herts Young Homeless

We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Herts Young Homeless, a fantastic charity supporting around 2,000 vulnerable 16–24-year-olds every year.

On a mission to prevent youth homelessness, they provide vital help to young people - so they can stay in education, access family mediation, and gain support in their first homes or as carers for adults.

First working together on their annual sponsored “Sleepout” event, we provided free collection and recycling of the cardboard used for makeshift beds and shelter. Saving them time and money, we ensured the site was returned to normal quickly.

We were also delighted to pledge £2,000 at Christmas which enabled the charity to raise over £27,000 in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, a national match funding campaign for charities of all sizes.

Maureen Bridger, Corporate Partnerships Officer, Herts Young Homeless said: “We are delighted Cawleys have chosen to partner with us. This money and support will make a real difference to young people in Hertfordshire facing homelessness this year.”

Anna Cawley, Strategy and Communications Director, Cawleys added: “As a family business, involvement and support for a variety of charities and community groups in the regions we work is extremely important to us.

“We understand how hard it is for young homeless people this winter and beyond, especially with the added challenges of the cost-of-living crisis, and want to help in any way we can. Herts Young Homeless is a fantastic charity and we will continue to assist them this year with our fundraising activities.”
