Hertfordshire Sustainability Conference 2022 – Rothamsted Institute

Cawleys was delighted to exhibit at the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce Sustainability Conference in October held at the Rothamsted Institute in Harpenden.

The theme resonated with our long-held beliefs and business ethics that there are things big and small that can be done by all of us to help the long-term health of our communities and the Planet. The keynote speakers and breakout sessions offered tangible advice on where businesses can start their carbon reduction journey by firstly recording and benchmarking in preparation for making improvements. We heard first hand from local business leaders who were well along on their carbon reduction journey and heard not just about the successes but the unexpected challenges they faced and how they overcame them.

Questions posed about ‘Where to start?’ and ‘is this going to be expensive?’ were supported with scalable and free resources that can help all size businesses. There was a high quality of exhibitors that ranged from higher education, professional services, and local authority support. All with passion and energy on how their products and services reduces the impact on the wider environment.
