Finalist in the Motor Transport Awards 2018

While we’re pleased to celebrate the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s new baby, we’re also delighted to announce that Cawleys has today been named as a finalist in the Motor Transport Award Scheme 2018 for ‘Best Use of Technology.’

The award recognises Cawleys use and application of innovative software to streamline its fleet and workshop operations, using R2C’s IT system. Cawleys operates a fleet of 75 vehicles, managed and serviced from its in-house workshop at the company’s headquarters in Luton.

Anna Cawley, Director of Customer Services said “I’m delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award.  Recycling is in the spotlight like never before, and being nominated for this award proves to our customers how hard we work to offer the best possible service.”

Anna continues:

“It really is Phil, our Director of Waste Collection and Logistics, baby as he spearheaded the introduction of the new software and ensured that we were the first waste management company in the UK to be part of the DVSA’s Earned Recognition Pilot  Scheme. I’d like to congratulate him and his team on this well-deserved award nomination.

“There’s a saying ‘it takes a village to raise a baby’, well in a similar way it takes a whole team of people to run a great recycling company and fleet of vehicles. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our drivers and staff in transport who keep the wheels running so smoothly for us”,  Anna concludes.
