Cawleys expands fleet with new Mercedes-Benz

The Mercedes-Benz Antos will be a first for Cawleys logistics fleet of over 70 vehicles which is being expanded to meet customer demand. The Mercedes-Benz Antos is a whole new class of truck that has been specifically developed for distribution work.
Phil Gudgeon, Head of Waste Collection said “The new Mercedes-Benz Antos will provide us with a practical and purpose built Dustcart vehicle which features a fuel-saving, low-emission engine and enhanced safe, assured driving characteristics. This new vehicle will provide us with extra capability within our fleet ensuring our operating standards and requirements are not only met, but exceeded”.
The Mercedes-Benz Antos is backed up by low repair and maintenance costs. The vehicle will be fitted with MOBA on-board weighing software and a Heil Body.
The vehicle will be operating in the Hertfordshire area servicing Cawleys customers in Stevenage, Hitchin, Welwyn Garden City and Letchworth.
