Karl celebrates twenty years with Cawleys
A big congratulations to Customer Service Representative, Karl O’Gorman, who celebrated his twenty year anniversary with Cawleys last month.
Karl started working with us on 18th September 1995 in the Transport Office as a Traffic Controller where he was trained by Dave Buckingham. Karl was responsible for looking after our dust cart, REL and shuttle vehicles.
In 2005, two weeks after it opened, Karl transferred to our Customer Service Office where he is still based. In his role Karl deals with telephone bookings and enquiries and email requests.
Karl describes his role with Cawleys as, “a challenging and demanding role that is very rewarding.” When reflecting back over his twenty years with us Karl said, “There has been so many highlights, I never envisaged spending so long at a company but it has been a pleasure to work here with my many lovely colleagues.”
Outside of work Karl likes to spend his time with his family and girlfriend. Being a true Dunstable Town fan, football also plays a big role in his life. Being Christian is one of the most important parts of Karl’s life and he likes to help others by volunteering at the Salvation Army soup kitchen in Dunstable once a week.
New job role for Samantha
Samantha Southey has recently moved from her Transport Administrator role in our Transport Office to an Account Management Team position in our Customer Service Office.
Samantha has been with us for just over a year and recently finished her training for her new role. She will be working on contract and administration in her new position and dealing with customer enquiries before they are passed on to the Account Managers.
Being able to progress and build a career at Cawleys is one of the things that Samantha is most looking forward to with her position in the Account Management Team. Samantha said, “I am really looking forward to working with our clients and learning more to about how Cawleys can help them.”
What is Samantha’s favourite thing about working at Cawleys? “I really like all the people I work with and getting to come to work is a nice break from being a busy mum!”
Being an active person Samantha likes to spend her time outside of work going to outdoor activities with her one and three year old children.
