Cawleys was established in 1947 making us one of the most experienced, independently owned waste management businesses in the south east.  We were the first company in the UK to offer a commercial food waste management service, and have won numerous awards for the quality of our service provision. This includes being the first business to win the prestigious Waitrose Way, Treading Lightly Award for Waste Management, for our approach to work for Waitrose and its supply chain in 2013.

We remain determined and energetic in our approach to waste management, always looking for a technological or behavioural solution in answer to the growing concerns about resource management and environmental probity in the 21st century.

For a waste management service to work well for customers it has to be based on a highly disciplined and organised transport infrastructure, where vehicles and personnel are perfectly coordinated to achieve regular, cost effective collections and recycling services.  The service also has to be based on transparent working practises where the value and costs associated with recyclate and recycling are shared in an open and honest relationship.  Underpinning all of this has to be the energy and determination to find creative solutions to the changing requirements of modern resource compound and waste management streams.
