Many waste management companies simply bulk-up waste at transfer stations before taking it to landfill. At Cawleys our aim is, wherever possible, to divert waste from landfill through our innovative approach to collecting, sorting, treating and recycling waste.

Opened in 1997 and heavily reinvested in again in 2008, our MRFs in Luton and Wellingborough are state of the art facilities unique of their kind in the area. It is a streamlined process for card, paper, plastic, wood, scrap metal, glass, construction and demolition waste and hazardous materials. It allows us to achieve higher waste reclaim and recycling rates and greater efficiency throughout the process.

This unique service is also a valuable resource for the business community in helping people find ways to recycle more and raise their own environmental profile.

We handle both active and inert waste, all under one roof. Unlike many collection recycling schemes, where materials have to be sorted before they are sent for processing, we can handle all that in-house. It means that more waste reaches us in the first place, as we are not limited to taking just a narrow range of materials.
