Our Managing Director has over 40 years’ experience in waste management and recycling. From traditional methods of waste disposal to environmental resource management, Jon’s expertise and leadership underpins the experience and innovation on offer at Cawleys.
At the helm on the financial side is Simon Platt who joined Cawleys in 2011. With extensive experience in the finance sector, including twelve years at Iron Mountain Europe where he dealt with annual revenues in excess of $3 billion, and more recently two years’ within waste management group Reconomy, Simon is the top man for the job as Cawleys’ FD.
As Operations Director, Tony oversees the range of resource management services on offer at Cawleys, creating a bespoke environmental programme to suit your company’s needs. With over 30 years’ experience in the waste management and recycling industry, Tony can recommend a resource solution that will really work for you.
Andrew Pegg runs our waste and recycling facilities, including the onsite state-of-the-art Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) which allows us to maximise the amount of waste Cawleys can recycle for you, and take you one step closer to zero to landfill. With experience in IT and management, Andrew has the expertise to keep Cawleys facilities at the cutting edge of sustainable resource solutions.
With a degree in Environmental Biology, a masters in Environmental Diagnostics, and nearly 14 years’ experience at Cawleys, Jason has strong expertise in Hazardous Waste Treatment and Recovery Solutions. Jason leads our Hazardous team to deal with this specialist waste efficiently, innovatively and with the minimum hassle to you or the environment.
Mark manages our fleet of over one hundred specialist vehicles; from rear-end loaders to food waste collection vehicles that run on biofuel. Using innovative technologies across the Cawleys fleet, Mark ensures that all of our vehicles are efficient, reliable and cost-effective.
A third generation member of the Cawleys family, Anna has been part of the family business for over ten years. Her background within the company as Project Manager and Customer Relationship Manager means that Anna is perfectly placed to head up the Customer Services division, ensuring that the customer care that Cawleys’ clients receive is second-to-none.
Also a third generation member of the Cawleys family, Kate joined the company in 2006 after five years’ experience at news agency Reuters. Kate develops and implements bespoke communications and operational strategies for Cawleys’ clients, based on their individual requirements, needs and wants. Through innovative sales and marketing campaigns, Kate has lead Cawleys to be a thought leader in food waste recycling and resource management and help Cawleys and its clients win a number of green business accolades.
For the fifth year running we have we scooped the top prize in the Organics Recycling Group (ORG) award scheme, this year for work with the innovative Fresh Olive Company, the UK’s leading supplier of Mediterranean products to retailers, delicatessens, food manufacturers and high end restaurants and cafes. The award is for ‘Best Food Waste Recycling.’
