Playing an active role in contemporary environmental issues

In a world of limited resources, it is essential that all players contribute to optimising waste management. The first step is to reduce waste production at source. This can be achieved through the eco-design of products to make them easier to recycle, as well as through policy initiatives focused on the consumer. The next step is to increase at-the-source separation to facilitate materials recovery and recycling. Then—and this is the role of Cawleys — as much as possible of the recovered materials must be transformed and recycled by developing appropriate relationships with forward thinking re-processors. Recycling is already a reality for us, we are now developing our service capabilities into turning waste into a resource.
